He was predeceased by: his sister Pauline Grant. He is survived by: his wife Laverne Bertin (Seale); his children, Richard James Bertin (Mary) of Round Rock, TX and Laura Valenzuela (Michael) of Loganville, GA; his siblings, Albert Bertin of Huntsville, AL and Laurette Magill of Westbrook, ME; his grandchildren, James Bertin, Malory Wolf, Jacob Wolf and Norah Kay Warren; and his parents, Amedee Bertin and Germaine Bertin (Sylvestre).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Rose of Lima Jr.
