He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Warren Franklin and Nancy Franklin (Scranton); his spouse Shirley Petrie; his children, Stanley of Brattleboro, David of Guilford, Donald of Dummerston and Edwina Franklin of Charlotte, NC; his stepchildren, Kevin Kingsley of Pittsford, VT, Keith Kingsley of Cartersville, GA, Cindy Sheehe of Pittsford and Candy VanNoordt of Forrest, VA; and his siblings, Alfred Franklin of Guilford, Elaine Petrie of Vernon, Lawrence, Gordon, Russell and Glenice Carter. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
