He was predeceased by: his brother John Saalfrank. He is survived by: his grandson Ben; his wife Louise T Saalfrank (Nappe) of Florence; his children, Bryan Klein of Stuart, FL, Richard A Saalfrank Jr. of Florence, Darrin J. Saalfrank of Florence, Barbara Kieszek of Easthampton and Michele Hurt (Klein) of Swanzey, NH.; his son-in-law Walter Kieszek; his grandsons, Justin Reed, Kyle Hurt of Swanzey, NH and Benjamin Saalfrank of Florence; and his brothers, George Saalfrank of Agawam, Robert Saalfrank of Northampton and Ronald Saalfrank of Florence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in Richard's honor to SVAHS Football Team.
