He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel "Sofie" Muooz; and his parents, Claudia Shaird, and Hiawatha Shaird, Sr.. He is survived by: his daughter Shai Shaird; his grandchildren, Aunist and Shiloh Yarns; and his siblings, Curtis Shaird, Tony Shaird, Deena Bynoe Bell and Mary Shaird. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
