He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Bowens and Estella Bowens (Wilbon); his sons, Franklin (Bowens Jr.) and Philip Lee Bowens; his sisters, Ellareen Bowles and Gladys Gay; and his son-in-law Phillip Hollins.
He is survived by: his children, Willie Jessie Jerome Bowens of Rex, Pastor Ricky E. Bowens (Co-Pastor Linda) of Springfield, Fredrick A. Bowens (Shelley) of Winston-Salem, NC, Annie B. Hollins of Pontiac, MI and Beverly Bowens of Springfield; and his daughter-in-law Wendy Bowens. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
