He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Hackett and Rose A. Hackett (Taylor); his siblings, Rose Madden Smith (Edward), Walter "Bud" Hackett (Ruth), Fred Hackett and Jack Hackett (Pat); and his brother-in-law Edward Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Tise; his children, Jed Hackett (Judy), Carol Donoghue (John) of Hanover, Kathy Hines (David) of Whitman and Falmouth; his grandchildren, Christine Donoghue, Jack Donoghue, Dr. Margo Hines and Dr. Kathleen Buzzeo; his great grandchildren, Natalie Poon and Anthony Buzzeo III; and his sister-in-law Pat Hackett of Weymouth. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
