He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurele Pitre and Marie Pitre (Landry); his daughter Marie Marks; his grandson Timothy Marks; his brother Harvey Pitre; and his sister-in-law Marie Pitre.
He is survived by: his family Leonard; his close friend Fido; his wife Florine Pitre (Leger); his children, Gerald Pitre (Nancy Pitre), Paul Pitre (Katie Pitre), Linda Hannibal (Richard Hannibal) and Lisa Boyce (Kevin Boyce); his grandchildren, Bill, Amanda, Nia, Douglas, Danny, Amber, Patrick, Ryan, Matthew, Jonathan and Alyssa; and his brothers, Medric Pitre of New Brunswick, Canada. and Theophil Pitre (Maria) of New Brunswick, Canada..
