He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Coughlan Sr. and Esther Evans; his brother Wallace Lee Taylor; and his niece Donna Coughlan. He is survived by: his wife Bette L. Coughlan (Potter); his sister Jane; his brother-in-law Arthur Morton; his children, Julie Louise Coughlan (John Fagundes) of Freetown and James Lincoln Coughlan (Sharon); his grandson Wesley Lincoln Coughlan of Rhinecliff, NY; his sister-in-law Jane Morton (Arthur) of North Dighton; his nephew Kendall Arthur Morton (Colleen); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cameron, Derek and Sarah Morton of Attleboro; his nephews, Robert Taylor (Diane) of Dighton and Rodney Taylor of Taunton; his brother Frederick Coughlan of Bedford, MA; his nephew James F Coughlan (Cynthia); and his great-nephews, Jake and Zachary of Ocala, Florida. He is also survived by the birds and animals.
Memorial donations in his memory will be utilized to fund special research efforts in neurology at MGH. Donations can be made by check payable to The Massachusetts General Hospital-Alzheimer's Research.
