He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis LaPlante (Fish); his sister Lillian LaComb; and his parents, Louis E. LaPlante and Jeannette LaPlante (Furgal). He is survived by: his children, Midderice Dunivan (Brian Rosenthal) of Milford and Louis E. LaPlante, III (Nancy Anderson-LaPlante) of Trentwoods, NC; his siblings, Richard LaPlante (Agnes) of Gilbertville and Jean LaPlante of Hardwick; his grandchildren, Jacob Dunivan, Brittany LaPlante Solberg, Louis E. LaPlante, IV and Andrew LaPlante; and his friend Kathleen Bowen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
