He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Thomas F. Doherty and Dorothy K. Doherty (Higgins); and his sister Eileen Van Zandt of Mansfield. He is survived by: his wife Mary Doherty (Donahue); his sons, Thomas and Brendan; his daughter-in-law Sabrina; his granddaughter Charlotte; and his sister Briana Doherty of Franklin. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
