He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Young and Marilyn Young (Odom). He is survived by: his wife Karen Ostrom-Kelly; his children, Daniel Young (Tina) of Virginia, Amanda Young (Dominic Dipersia) of Milford and Michael Young of Walpole; the mother of his children Maryann Schofield (Valentino); his siblings, Robert Young (Donna) of Raynham and Elizabeth Schultz (James) of Florida; and his aunt Patricia Omalia of Taunton. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home (30 South St, Foxborough, MA 02035). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 6:15 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 9:45 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
