He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cordeiro and Marie Cordeiro (Berube); and his former wife Philomena Cordeiro Birch. He is survived by: his wife Noreen Walsh Cordeiro of North Attleboro, MA; his daughter Christine Eglitis (Todd) of Canton, GA; his grandchildren, Zachary Eglitis and Stephanie Eglitis of Canton, GA; his sisters, Joan Duchaine of Mooresville, NC and Pam Jordan (Edward) of Stokesdale, NC; his siblings-in-law, Brian Walsh (Dawn) and Margery Walsh Horan; his niece Debbie Leoncini Harden (Tom); his daughter Bonnie (Joe); his grandchild Kim Peplinski (Eric); and his nephews, Michael Duchaine (Amy) and Kevin Jordan (Karrie).
