He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Francis Dowling and Pasqualina Josephina Dowling (Mondia); his wife Barbara Ann Dowling (Skiffington); and his siblings, Dolores Dowling, Eleanor Davis, Patricia Sifton, Lauren Dowling and Harold F. Dowling.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly A. Bohl (Harold) of Brewster, MA, Jennifer L. Morgan (Daniel) of North Adams and Michael F. Dowling III (Jennifer) of Stamford, VT.; his grandchildren, Brian Dowling (Makayla), Kierstyn Bohl, Jared Bohl (Kaysie), Kevin Dowling, Aimee Dowling, Ethan Morgan and Ella Morgan; his great grandchildren, Logan, Brayden, McKenzie, Addison and Riley; his close friend Mary Ann Maroni; and his sisters, Rose Marie Upton of North Adams and Faith Flemming of North Adams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
