He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Hewitt and Roberta Hewitt (Walker); his wife C. Elaine Hewitt (Oakes); his children, Brenda Vallone (Paul) of Clarksburg, Carlton A. Hewitt Jr. (Peggy) of Forest, VA. and Kevin Hewitt of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon Vallone, Nicholas and Ashley Hewitt; and his brother Robert Hewitt of Pownal, Vt.. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are suggested for the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Company through the funeral home.
