He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gordon and Catherine Pauline Payton (Walter); and his siblings, Ray, Mike Payton, Mary Buckingham (Payton) and Kathy Turner (Payton).
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Payton (Kane) of Norfolk; his daughter Jen Violette; his son-in-law Tim Violette; his grandchildren, Emma of Portsmouth, RI., Alex of Portsmouth, RI. and Sam Violette of Portsmouth, RI.; his brothers, Charlie Payton (Terry) of Seattle, WA, Mark Nenner-Payton (Rachel) of Hyde Park, MA and Jim Payton of Kansas City; and his siblings-in-law, Margie (Kane), Michael Ciccone of Walpole and Marie Kane of Carver. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alexander F. Thomas and Sons Funeral Home (45 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081). A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holyhood Cemetery (584 Heath St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467).
