“Dear Family of Dr. Mackey: I am saddened by the death of Dr. Mackey whom I met in the late 70's when my father (a physician) was one of his patients at Tufts Medical Center. My Dad underwent subsequent surgeries performed by Dr. Mackey, all with excellent outcomes. I then had the opportunity to work with Dr. Mackey at TMC. He was a wonderful person, skilled surgeon and inspiring leader who had a tremendous positive impact on many. He will be missed. In sympathy, Cynthia Marlborough”
