He was predeceased by: his father Earle Warren Thorne. He is survived by: his mother Joan Thorne; his brother Eric; his sister-in-law Carol; his nephew Damien; and his niece Cadence. He is also survived by family members and friends.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of Scott’s passing. Scott was one of my closest friends during high school & we shared many fun times & hearty laughs together. The friendship was born in Newton Youth Soccer. He was a goalkeeper & I was a fullback. We joked often that our midfielders & strikers were so good that we could leave the field & nobody would notice. Always quick to laugh & make people laugh, I’m sad that he’s gone. God bless old friend & thanks for being a great friend during those years.”
