Ruth Thelma Steinberg Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Thelma Steinberg of Newton, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Freeman and Albert Freeman; and her daughter Marjorie (Robert Korff). She is survived by: her children, Sondra and Norman Levenson; her grandchildren, Arielle (Evan), Benjamin (Camille), Amanda (Youssef), Daniel (Juliana), Alexander and Caroline; her great grandchildren, Lila, Gabriel, June and Solomon; her sister Phyllis (late Irwin Chase); and her sister-in-law Selma Krichmar.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel (1668 Beacon St, Brookline, MA 02445). A shiva will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nahanton Woods (210 Nahanton St, Newton, MA 02459).
Donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Marjorie E. Korff PACT Program at Massachusetts General Hospital.
