He was predeceased by: his father Stephen J. O'Brien. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth "Betty" O'Brien (Morrissey); his children, Colleen and Shea O'Brien of Attleboro; his brothers, Stephen (Carol Hoogasian) of Worcester and Sean (Mary O'Brien) of Waltham; and the mother of his children Kathleen O'Brien (Miller) of Attleboro. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home (465 Centre St, Newton, MA 02458). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady Help of Christians Church (573 Washington St, Newton, MA 02458). A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (990 Lagrange St, Boston, MA 02132).
