He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. McKenna and Gertrude McKenna (Brophy); his child Ivy Marchioni; and his sisters, Polly Sullivan and Katherine Hennessey.

He is survived by: his wife Jane; and his children, Brian McKenna (Michele) of Greenfield, Justin McKenna of Newton and Angela Mulholland of Shrewsbury. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
