He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Bliss and Maude Lee Bliss. He is survived by: his wife Tamara (Guzik); his children, Stephen Bliss of Brookline and Mimi Bliss of Nashville; his grandson William Barrett of Nashville; his sister Virginia Bliss of Sutton, Mass.; and his nephew Peter Guzik of Holland, Penn.
