He is survived by: his significant other Carol Cole; his children, Michael Bailit (Julie) of Needham and Rachel Bailit of Santa Monica; his stepsons, Eric Cole (Hannah Karass) of Marblehead and Jeff Cole (Lori Kret) of Aspen, Colorado.; his grandsons, David, Eli Bailit and Ethan Cole; and his sisters, Marilyn Lilly and Irma Kaplan of Nashville, Tennessee..

Contributions may be made in his name to the ACLU to help fight hate and prejudice.
