He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lucille Gerratt (Levine); his children, Emily and Bradley Gerratt; his grandsons, Aaron and Nathan; and his brothers, Milton and Henry Gerratt.

Irving grew up in Boston and attended Bentley School of Accounting and Finance.
