Gerald Shea Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Shea of Newton, Massachusetts, born in Elmhurst, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Gerald shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gerald farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his parents, Margaret T. McDerby and Gerald E. Shea; his wife Karen; his daughters, Emily and Meg; his sisters, Peggy Lockwood, Helen Murphy and MaryEllen Geeslin; and his mother-in-law Lois Sullivan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home (477 Washington St, Wellesley, MA 02482). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Paul Church (502 Washington St, Wellesley, MA 02482).
