He was predeceased by: his brother Thomas Hickey; his nephew Michael Hickey; and his parents, Catherine Hickey (Smith) and Thomas Hickey. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hickey (Lovett) of Billerica; his children, Keri Wetterwald (Andreas), Andrew, Katelyn and Edward R. Hickey (Ryan); his grandchildren, Gavin, Reese and Carter; and his siblings, Cathy Grant (Gordon), Linda Gaffey (Jack Gaffey) and Shaun Hickey (Carol). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
