Daniel P. Kunitz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel P. Kunitz (Newton, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Kunitz; his children, Robin Cohen (Eitan), Laurel Simkovich (Marvin) and David Kunitz (JoAnn); his grandchildren, Amir Cohen, Naomi Cohen BenGigi, Yair Cohen, Aaron Simkovich, Shoshana Simkovich, Elisha Simkovich, Yaakov Simkovich and Suzy Roche; and his brother Michael Kunitz. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, dearest friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Temple Shalom (175 Temple St, West Newton, MA 02465). A shiva was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kunitz Residence. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Shara Tfilo Cemetery (776 Baker St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
