I can picture her doing her "Uncle Joe" imitation for all the campers, and her eye roll the minute her boisterous dad showed up at camp wearing his pink and blue suit for parent's weekend. Goodbye my summer sister. I hope you know you were one of the most unique and memorable woman my sisters and I ever had the privilege to know.”

“Camp Lakeridge Manor for Girls in Oakland, ME. The sleep away camp I attended with my 3 sisters during my formative years. Lakeridge Manor did not spawn future homemakers; rather, it was where we were sent to be shaped into young women with the grit and will to succeed. Carol Goodman was a camp Icon. She was the embodiment of strength, character and discipline. In fact, she was my attorney right until her passing. I am certain the sky will be painted hues of pink and blue tonight.”
