With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard Ricky Johnson of Newton, Massachusetts, born in Nesmith, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2024 at the age of 64. He was predeceased by: his father McKever McCellon; his stepfather Aaron Murkison; and his siblings, Eugene Porcher, Bertell Porcher, Leonard Johnson, Queen Esther Johnson Jennings and Doris Deland McCellon.
He is survived by: his mother Carrie Murkison; his children, Rikki-Lee Johnson of Manchester, NH, Jordan Leonard Johnson of Boston, MA and Malik Bernard Johnson of Lynn, MA; his grandchildren, Kaliyani Prak of Manchester, NH, King Prak of Manchester, NH and Rylee Mendes of Manchester, NH; his sisters, Ruemell McCloud of Nesmith, SC, Stephany Arnold of Waltham, MA, Antoinette Johnson and Layle McCellon Rivers (David Rivers) of Lynn, MA.; and his aunt Ora Wallace. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
