Though Ann Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ann Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Richard Fontano. She is survived by: her mother Grazia Fontano (Baccari) of Newton; her husband Stephen J. Rideout; her caregiver Ann Marie; her sons, Michael S. of Newton and Jonathan J. Rideout of Newton; and her brother Stephen G. Fontano (Lindsay) of Watertown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A wake was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joyce Funeral Home (245 Main St, Waltham, MA 02453). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady Help of Christians Church (573 Washington St, Newton, MA 02458). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the Newton Cemetery (791 Walnut St, Newton Centre, MA 02459).
