It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Stranahan of Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts, born in Stockholm, Maine, who passed away on January 15, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John A. Stranahan; her parents, Martin G. Anderson and Ruth Olson Anderson; her sister Birdie; her brother-in-law Gus Peterson; her sister Lucille; her brother-in-law Freddie Conway; her brothers, Sonny Anderson and Lloyd Anderson; her parents-in-law, Samuel G. Stranaghan and Jane Campbell Stranaghan; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth McCahon and Warren Stranahan.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Forrand (Dave), Bill Stranahan (Tracy), Carla DiCiaccio (Ray), Karen Forsythe (Tray) and Jane Remington (Carl); her siblings, Natalie Dam and Harley Anderson (Carole); her siblings-in-law, Irene Anderson, Cathy Anderson, Eleanor Beatty, Joanna Stranahan and Bill McCahon; her grandchildren, Ray (Melissa), Joey (Kaylyn), Brian (Gen), Jeff (Olja), Rachel, Jesse, Sarah (Jack), Anna, Noelle (Riley) and Gabby (Mike); and her stepgrandsons, Trevor and Devon (Caroline). She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Due to Covid restrictions, all services for Phyllis will be private.
