She was predeceased by: her sister Cristina of North Carolina; and her pet Harvey. She is survived by: her son Michael Carr of Ipswich; her siblings, Lisa of North Carolina and John (Linda); her nieces and nephews, Kristen and Jennifer of Colorado; her brother-in-law Larry Roger Ammons of North Carolina; her nieces, Laura Duarte of Texas and Beth Ammons; and her nephew John Ammons of North Carolina.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Conte Funeral Home (193 High St, Newburyport, MA 01950). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (42 Green St, Newburyport, MA 01950). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Vicki made many contributions to social and environmental justice in general, and to the Newburyport community in particular, including her commitment to C-10, as Secretary of the ACES board, as a member of the YWCA Greater Newburyport Board and her long-term commitment to anti-racism work.
