He is survived by: his wife Barbara Summer; his brothers, Jeff Schwende (Ellen), Pete Schwende (Tanya) and John Schwende (Beth); his children, David Summer (Julie), Eric Summer (Brenda), Mark Summer (Donna), Kurt Summer, Kristin Summer and Heidi Kraft; his niece Julie Shaw; and his grandchildren, Cassandra Summer (David), Jacqui Smith (Greg), Max D'Angelo, Erin MacKenzie, Emma D'Angelo (Ruchel) and Sarah Peeters (Jon).
