He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierce Smith Sr. and Lillian Heron; his son Jeffrey Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Sara Baxter and Paul Bannon.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Smith, Susan Castonguay and Nanci Smith; his brother Gene Smith (Paula); his brother-in-law John Bannon (Norietta); and his pet Zero. He is also survived by many grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews.
