“Almost 2 years after the fact, I find through a random Google search that the diner had been sold and Pat is no longer with us. Words can not capture the shock and grief I feel. My dad, Skip, was in the diner every morning without fail for years, and on the morning in 2005 when he didn't show up at his usual time, Pat went to his house and and ended up saving his life as a result. I'm so thankful to have met Pat in 2006 when I was 14 and visited her in the diner on a brief road trip in 2019. Without her, I would have missed out on 12 years of time with my dad.”
