He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Finnegan and Mildred Finnegan (Duggan, family: Linda Finnegan); his wife Linda; his daughter Mary Beth Damon; and his siblings, Lorraine Leary and Richard Finnegan.
He is survived by: his children, Peter Finnegan (Lisa) of Newburyport, Paula Green (Alan) of Amesbury and Kevin Finnegan (Bettyann) of Newburyport; his son-in-law Win Damon of Newburyport; his grandchildren, Cassandra Green (James Wallace), Dani Green, Patrick Finnegan (Zalekha Shair), Amanda Beers (Alex), Taylor Knapp (Mark), Michela Finnegan (Greg Walsh), Michael Finnegan and Matthew Finnegan; his great grandchild Emilia Finnegan Patel; and his nephew Stephen Leary.
