He was predeceased by: his spouse Deloris Abigail Nemecek (Creitz). He is survived by: his children, Ginger Nemecek Smith (David Hale Smith) of Easton, MD, Amy Louise Castonguay (Richard Henry Castonguay), Amesbury and John Martin Nemecek (Sharon Nemecek) of Duluth, GA; his grandchildren, Zachary David Smith, Lillian Grace Smith, Molly Kate Nemecek, Olivia Grace Nemecek, Annabel Joy Nemecek, Rebecca Joy Castonguay and Kaitlyn Tianna Castonguay; his stepgrandsons, Armando and Andres; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Cale Smith and Elijah Lee Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
