He is survived by: his wife Clara; his children, Deborah Stanton (Tommy Williams), Jere Jr. (Wendy) of Rowley, MA and Cynthia Fava (Robert) of West Newbury, MA; his grandchildren, Cori Grimes (Josiah Grimes), Matthew, Noelle Nikas, Jere D. Hovey, III, Jordan Short (Will Short) and Caleb Hovey; his great grandchildren, Joey, Benjamin Grimes, Zachery Eaton, Jr., Eleanor, Henry and Waylon Short; and his sister-in-law Amber Hovey.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home - Ipswich (6 High St, Ipswich, MA 01938). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home (6 High St, Ipswich, MA 01938). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the New Highland Cemetery (29 Town Farm Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938).
