In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gregory had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gregory may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McDermott and Mary McDermott (Horgan) of Haverhill, MA.; and his wife Kathleen McDermott (Doherty). He is survived by: his sister Margaret "Peggy" McDermott of Ipswich, MA.; and his siblings-in-law, Elinor Quill of Maureen Doherty, CSJ, Terese Kennealy, Joanne Doherty, Joseph Doherty and John MacPhee. He is also survived by 50 nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Conte Funeral Home (193 High St, Newburyport, MA 01950). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
