Gregory Hamilton Ford Obituary
Gregory Hamilton Ford, age 61, a 30 year resident of Newburyport, MA, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday afternoon April 12, 2022. He was born in Los Angeles, CA to Agatina. (Murabito) Horvath and the late James W. Ford. He attended grammar school in Los Angeles before his family relocated to Methuen. MA where he graduated from Methuen High School .Greg attended Yavapai College and developed his trade as a carpenter in Arizona before moving to Newburyport, MA in 1992.
Greg was employed as a Facilities Manager for the Towle Building for the last 17 years. His dedication to "his building " and its tenants was Greg's highest priority. He was beloved by many.. Our precious Greg's most redeeming qualities were his spirituality and his unwavering faith, his infectious laugh and his extraordinary capable hands that saw NO boundaries on what they could accomplish.
In his free time Greg liked to play guitar and tinker with anything that challenged his desire to fix and restore. He was passionate about healthy eating and developed quite a knack for cooking. For years Greg and his dog 'Loni' were inseparable. His love for 'Loni' suggests that " Man is a dog's best friend " not the other way around. Greg had a deep love for his family and friends .
Greg is survived by his Mother, Agatina Horvath of AZ, siblings: James Ford of CA, Ellen Cartier and her husband Ron of NH, Lucille Ford of CA, and David Ledbetter and his wife Angie of Az and last but certainly not least the many clients and coworkers who to him were extended family.
Family and friends are invited to his Graveside Service at Oakhill Cemetery in Newburyport on April 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. Ford's family with his arrangements.
