As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dale may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Ratay and Glenda Smith (Mottram); her son Troy OBrien; and her siblings, Melody Kelley and James Smith.
She is survived by: her stepfather Donald E. Smith; her children, Francis O'Brien (Curley) of Newburyport, Maria Nixon of Kittery, ME and Raymond O'Brien of Seabrook, NH; and her sisters, Cheryl Willard (Raymond) of Merrimac and Marion Kuse of Newburyport. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakhill Cemetery (134 State St, Newburyport, MA 01950).
