He is survived by: his wife Bethann Butlien Ayres; his sons, Benjamin Ayres of Somerville and Andrew Ayres of Cambridge; his siblings, Lynn Ayres (Mary), Roxanne Ayres and Scott Ayres (Jackie); his siblings-in-law, Debra Butlien, Larry Butlien (Jeri) and Michael Butlien (Joyce); his nephews, Richard, Christopher, Matthew, Robert, Daniel and Derek; and his niece Samantha.
