She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Almeida and Cheryl Mendes; her son Anthony Jones; and her brother Dwayne Mendes. She is survived by: her children, James Jones, Jr. of New Bedford, Zhane Jones of New Bedford and Janiah Jones of New Bedford; the father of her children James Jones, Sr. of New Bedford; her sisters, Valerie Arthurton of Boston and Maryanne Mendes of Boston; and her grandchildren, James Jones, III, Za'Ryah Silas and Messiah Silas. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
