He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burgess and Mary Burgess (Sylvia); his son Dean Michael Burgess; and his grandchild Kyle Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen J. (Sylvia); his daughters, Susan Gilmore (William) of Florida, Jennifer Winsper of New Bedford and Pamela Burgess of Dartmouth; his sister-in-law Barbara Carreiro (John) of Dartmouth; his niece Elizabeth; his brother-in-law David Sylvia (Ana) of Connecticut; his nephew Douglas; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Alan Dean, Haley Gilmore, Callie Gilmore, Jessica Cambra and Bianca Burgess; his great grandchildren, Isabella and Jasmine Gonsalves; and his friend Paulo Andrade.
