She is survived by: her children, Jill Horton-Simms, Peter B. Horton (Pam), Elizabeth H. Sharf (Robert), Sara C. King (Bill) and Derek J. Horton (Grace); her stepsons, Edward H. Woods and William S. Woods; and her spouse William H. Woods.
Memorial donations in her name can be made in her memory to the Woods Arts & Literacy Fund, a fund of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts, 128 Union St., Suite 403, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02740, (508) 996-8253, to carry on her contributions to the education of youth and to the cultural fabric of New Bedford.
