It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn E. Alves (New Bedford, Massachusetts), born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on December 14, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse William A. Alves; her parent Joseph Dawes; her child Lance W. Alves; and her child-in-law Dennis S. Crapo. She is survived by: her parent Jean Dawes (Surprenant); her daughters, Christine Kenneway of North Hampton, NH, Victoria J. Crapo of New Bedford and Dawn E. Lacombe (Edmond) of Fairhaven; and her sister Joyce Wirth of Gardner. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
