With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Jose of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Cabral of Melo; her brother Jose Rocha of Vancouver; her great grandchild Taylor Plaud; and her parents, Jose Rocha and Francelina Rocha.
She is survived by: her children, Donzilia Tadeu (Antonio), Jose De Melo (Connie), Mariazinha Cabral (Jose Domingos), Isabel, Costa (Jose), Maria, Ceu of Melo, Lucia Ferreira of Fairhaven, Valdomiro De Melo (Maggie) of Acushnet, Olinda Morrison (David), Ana Lenahan (Michael) of Middleboro and Joaquim of Melo; her sister Angelina Soares; and her sister-in-law Noemia Rocha of Vancouver. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
