She was predeceased by: her husband Gil Barbosa DeSousa; and her daughter Maria Irene DeSousa. She is survived by: her children, Carlos DeSousa (Aja) of New Bedfordf, Gil DeSousa (Piedade) of New Bedfordf, Judy Carvalho (Manny), Betty Torres (Gilberto), Adelia Glavin (David) and Lucy DeSousa (Darryll) of Acushnet. She is also survived by twenty seven grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
