She was predeceased by: her husband José Maria Correia Almeida; her parents, Ludgero Xavier and Maria Adelina Xavier (Martins); and her sister Valentina Gomes. She is survived by: her children, José "Joe" Almeida (Amelia) of Westport, Helder Almeida (Lucia) of Dartmouth and Lena C. Almeida of New Bedford; her siblings, Adelina Silveira of New Bedford, Fernando Xavier of New Bedford, Manuel Xavier of New Bedford and Ludgero Xavier of New Bedford; and her grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Rachel, Nathan Almeida, Lauren Helley and Eddie Rouxinol. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744).
