It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria D. Furtado of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joao Furtado Caetano and Ines Do Rego Vieira. She is survived by: her husband Manuel Leite Medeiros; her children, Joao M. Medeiros (Virginia) of New Bedford and Ines Raposo (Ricardo) of New Bedford; and her brothers, Joao Do Rego Caetano of Canada and Jose Manuel Vieira Caetano of Canada. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Mt. Carmel Church, Rivet Street, New Bedford, however due to the current restrictions of Covid-19 Pandemic, only 100 people are allowed in the Church at one time, and every one have to wear a face-covering.
