She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond John Medina; her parents, Joseph Tavares and Elvira Gomes (Lomba); her son Joseph Medina; and her brother Henry Tavares.
She is survived by: her sons, Raymond James Medina (Karen) of New Bedford, Jeffrey Medina (Kathy) of New Bedford and Randall Medina (Kelly) of Somerset; her grandchildren, Shawn Medina, Jason Medina, Janine Hart, Raylin Jenson, Randall Medina, Jr., Taiylor Medina, Heaven Lee Medina, Jeremy Medina, Jared Medina, Kelsey Medina and Kayla Medina; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Rylie, Jayleese, Simone, Evan, Kaelani, Wesley, Ethan, Emma, Ari, Cora, Clio and Layla; her great great grandchildren, Solenne and Zora; her siblings, Raymond Tavares, Irene Phillips and Charlotte "Lolly" Senna; and her great grandchild Tierrah.
She was a member of the Cape Verdean Veterans Association Women's Auxiliary and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed sewing and knitting afghans, sweaters and slippers where she would give them as gifts to family members and also as donations, but most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her family.
